The “SNOOPY” Dog Shelter operates as a non-profit organization, which means that the financial resources necessary for its work are provided exclusively by voluntary donations from citizens and minimal assistance through public fund. Unfortunately, funds are spent faster than they arrive, which is why we appreciate any contribution, no matter how small.
For each new dog and cat we find, we assume the following obligations and costs:
For each new dog
- Veterinary Examination – a basic health assessment immediately upon arrival
- Vaccinations – against infectious diseases and rabies
- Microchipping – mandatory tagging with a microchip
- Sterilization/Castration
- Mediterranean Disease Test – for all dogs over 6 months old
- Treatment of Injuries and Illnesses – often necessary for abandoned dogs
- Protection against Parasites – internal and external (tablets, ampoules, necklaces)
- Food and Water – quality nutritional care
- Accommodation – in a shelter or temporary home
- Socialization and Rehabilitation – for dogs that have experienced trauma or neglect
- Preparation for Adoption – includes advertising and communication with potential adopters
For every new cat
- Please Note – Unfortunately, we only have accommodation capacity for two cats.
